Аннотация

Организованная нейронная активность лежит в основе функционирования головного мозга. Как обработка информации, так и ее передача между кортикальными структурами происходит за счет синхронизированной нейронной активности. В бодрствующем состоянии одним из механизмов, способствующих интеграции и синхронизации кортикальной активности между функционально связанными отделами центральной нервной системы, является сенсорный вход. Состояние глубокой анестезии или глубокого сна также характеризуется наличием организованной нейронной активности - медленными осцилляциями (МО). Однако находящаяся в этих состояниях центральная нервная система считается сенсорно депривированной. МО обладают высоким уровнем синхронизации между различными участками коры головного мозга, однако о механизмах, координирующих МО во время сна или анестезии, известно мало. Используя способы электрофизиологической регистрации активности неокортекса в модели in vivo, мы показали, что в состоянии глубокой анестезии МО в различных отделах неокортекса синхронизируются благодаря актам дыхания. Несмотря на разную частоту МО и дыхания, мы обнаружили фазовую привязку эпизодов кортикальной активности к дыханию. Наибольшая вероятность периодов кортикальной активности наблюдается во время фазы выдоха анестезированного животного, в то время как акт вдоха сопровождается снижением кортикальной активности. Полученные результаты показали, что дыхание играет роль водителя ритма кортикальной активности в то время, когда неокортекс ограничен в получении внешнего синхронизирующего стимула.
